Soda Lab ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding user information and outlines our strict commitment to data minimization and on-device privacy.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any Personally Identifiable Information (PII). In particular:

• No account registration, login, email, name, or phone number is required to use the App.
• No location data, GPS data, or sensor telemetry is gathered.
• No biometric, camera, or microphone access is ever requested.
• No advertising tracking identifiers (e.g., Google AAID or IDFA) are collected or used for profiling.

2. On-Device Local Storage

To provide you with a personalized, stateful experience without contacting external servers, the App stores small pieces of preference data purely on your local device (using standard browser LocalStorage):

• DIY Drink Counter & Savings: The number of soda cups made and the cumulative calculated savings amount.
• Interface Preferences: Selected language (English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese) and light/dark theme preference.
• Custom Associate Tag: An optional custom Amazon Tracking ID entered by the user in Settings.

This data never leaves your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing the application data or browser cache.

3. Device APIs & Permissions

The App uses modern web and device APIs strictly for user utility:

• Screen Wake Lock API: Keeps your device screen awake while actively viewing recipe steps or timers, preventing disruptions during kitchen preparation.
• Web Audio API: Plays synthesized notification chimes when step timers expire. No audio input or microphone access is involved.

4. Third-Party Links & Affiliate Disclosure

The App includes outbound links to third-party retail websites (primarily Amazon.com) to help you locate compliant ingredients, syrups, and glassware.

Amazon Associates Disclosure: Soda Lab participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon.com. Clicking on these links opens your standard web browser or the Amazon app. We do not transmit any personal information to Amazon.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13, in strict accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and Google Play Families Policy.

6. Security

Because we do not operate a remote database storing your personal information, your data is inherently protected against server-side breaches.
